Diana Yoo is a passionate art advocate and works in photo-based installation and performance in her autobiographical art practice. Her art practice has strong foundational roots in drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture which influence her aesthetic compositions. She received her Master of Fine Arts from Western University and her Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours from York University. She is interested in questions regarding juxtaposed cultures; in-between spaces; and pluralistic cultures. Yoo's work has been exhibited throughout Ontario as well as internationally at venues such as: JOUEZ at the BIG on Bloor Festival for Arts and Culture! (Toronto), Koffler Gallery (Toronto), John B. Aird Gallery (Toronto), Arko Art Gallery (Seoul, South Korea), University of Waterloo Art Gallery (Waterloo), Art Lab Gallery (London), The Art Gallery of Peterborough (Peterborough), and CONTACT Photography Festival (Toronto).
